One jacket is made out of approximately 85 pieces that guarantee perfect fit. Even in the luxury scene, such an amount is more than unusual. Like joints they follow your movements and underline your confident radiance. 10 of these pieces concern the important shoulder area. There are 18 different shoulder pads, each with a unique shape. Even the broad shoulders of the 80s asked to be mildly rounded off. A bolero that is fitted at the waist should harmonize with your body shape, no matter if there are minimalist pads for a silhouette like an hourglass or sculptural leg-of-mutton sleeves.
Of course, the same attention goes to the waist area. Our highly experienced production team knows how to build a perfect, flattering silhouette from size 34 to 50. All our master tailors are exceptionally talented in their profession. Silk, tweed and heavy wool are all natural fabrics that adapt differently. Each one has its own needs. Thanks to our tailor secrets we are able to satisfy all of them.
DETAIL LOVE
The life of a jacket begins with an idea. It takes up to 4 weeks from the raw sketch to the first fitting of the precursor. From there on it´s all about perfecting the details. A mysterious millimeter work in our studio in Munich where Maison Common works with the exceptional accuracy of a sculptor whose perfectionism is only satisfied when he rounded off his art with the tiniest refinements.
